Larry Loves Batkid

Larry talks about how moved he was by Batkid and the outpouring of support people showed for him. Then we learn how Larry heard about the JFK assassination as a youngster. For Poetry Corner, we hear “One Art” by Elizabeth Bishop. And for Magic Movie Moment, we revisit Smokey and The Bandit.

Quote Of The Week: “The guy with the big eyes that looks surprised now.”

Olive is both a color and a fruit! You must have been too busy thinking of martinis to notice, but I don’t blame you.

$150K spent on batkid from SF city funds (sourced from Moscone Center convention fees). There it is.

That’s fine with me; money well spent. Obviously not something they can do every day but it’s pretty uplifting to see so many people and even a government entity contribute to make a little kid’s dream come true.

Nothing happened at moscone center, how would they have a bill? All time was donated. Anyways tangerine is a fruit and a color. Glad you’re healthy Larry, but wouldn’t it have been funny if ,when they removed your skull, they replaced it with one with an afro. I smell sitcom.
